Varages has its own market twice a week on the main square outside
the house. But if you are a real market fanatic, you can find other
local ones every day of the week. There you can feast on the sumptuous
colours and smells of seasonal fruits and vegetables, herbs and
spices, wood, leather and pottery.
Then there are the many special events in France there is
usually a fair or festival for most things! In March, Varages has
its olive fair and, in August, its ceramics fair. Each summer, Barjols
has its annual leather fair. Early October, Rians has a pumpkin
festival. And so it goes on.
