Whether it's for a weekend break, an annual holiday or a retreat
for business or leisure, La Maison du Faïencier has just what
you are looking for.
Located right in the heart of the small village of Varages in
the hills of Provence, yet easily accessible from four airports
and the A8 auto route, La Maison du Faïencier is a special
place. Built in 1609, "The House of the Potter" was historically
the home of several master 'faienciers' (potters or earthenware
makers). Four centuries later, the village of Varages is still renowned
for its beautiful painted earthenware.
Today, this magnificent, spacious, historic house is the home of
Ron and Fiona Alldridge, who have carefully restored it so that
groups and individuals alike can enjoy the house in a whole variety
of ways. Situated on the central square, a stone's throw from the
boulangerie, café-bar, restaurant and local park complete
with boules and tennis court, La Maison du Faïencier could
not be more conveniently located. Other shops are near by and the
stunning countryside of the Verdon is simply waiting to be explored.
Ron and Fiona look forward to welcoming you soon.
